Apfelauflauf is a popular Bavarian dessert dish, also eaten as a main course is some parts of Germany, which combines the aromas and tastes of: apples, milk, pudding powder, vanilla, eggs, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Preparation is very simple and quick as the apples are peeled and sliced or diced; the pudding mix is well combined with milk and breadcrumbs, while the egg whites are whisked with sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice until become airy and fluffy, to which bread crumbs are added and apples. The whole mass is stirred well and poured into a baking pan, cooked in the oven and served cooled accompanied by any local sweet sauces, all depending on one's taste and preferences.
