Baguette Bread Sandwiches
In France, sandwiches are a common street food. Most of them are baguette bread sandwiches with different kinds of fillings such as "Jambon/Beurre" (ham/butter), "Jambon/Fromage" (ham with cheese) or "Poulet/Crudités" (Chicken with vegetables).
A baguette is "a long thin loaf of French bread" that is commonly made from basic lean dough. It is distinguishable by its length, crisp crust, and slits that enable the proper expansion of gases.
Baguettes are often sliced and served with pâté or cheese. As part of the traditional continental breakfast in France, slices of baguette are spread with butter and jam and dunked in bowls of coffee or hot chocolate.
