Baked Brown Trout is one of the most popular dishes served in various restaurants throughout Scotland. Trout can be found all year round in about all of the Scotland's waters. The recipe of the Baked Brown Trout is quite easy to prepare, as it doesn't require a lot of time. The trout is washed, cleaned and baked in foil. Various herbs, such as dill, fennel, chives, parsley and others are placed inside the fish, this being ultimately sprinkled with vermouth. The trout is baked in olive oil, vegetable oil or butter. Before being served, the dish is garnished with lemon or lemon juice. Baked Brown Trout can be served with rice, boiled potatoes and/or vegetables. The dish is absolutely delicious, it representing a real traditional Scottish treat.
