Begova Čorba (Bey's Stew) is a traditional Bosnian dish. The soup's main ingredients are chicken meat, vegetables such as potato, beans, carrot seasoned with lemon juice, pepper, salt, spices, celery and parsley. All the ingredients are gradually boiled, starting with meat and finishing with vegetables and spices. This soup is of a rather thick consistence, usually served with kajmak (Bosnian cream). One unusual ingredient of this original stew is okra (Bamija in Bosnian), known to have aphrodisiac effects.
