Three pieces of bistecchine di maiale

Bistecchine di maiale represents one of the most popular dishes for meat lovers in Tuscany. Big pork steaks are marinated for aproximately half an hour in a mixture made of extra virgin olive oil, white wine, rosemary, mint, oregano, thyme, marjoram, sage leaves, fennel seeds and any other aromatic condiments, as well as salt and pepper. The steaks can be cooked either on an outdoor grill or in an oven one. When the bistecchine di maiale obtain a pleasant golden colour, they are ready to be savoured. A glass of Chianti Rufina wine is usually a pleasant accompaniment to the Tuscan style pork steaks.
