Bitoque is a very popular traditional dish in Portugal. It consists of a steak fried in some butter, potatoes fried in some oil and an egg fried in some butter with garlic, paprika and white wine. The steak can be of pork or beef. All three main ingredients, steak, potatoes and egg are served on the same plate, the egg on top of the steak. Some other ingredients can be added to Bitoque too, like some salad or raw vegetables, rice, ham and others. A very similar dish, known as Alaminuta, is common in southern Brazil.
