Bouneschlupp is a traditional Luxembourgish green bean soup with potatoes, bacon, and onions.
Although Bouneschlupp is considered to be a Luxembourgish national dish, it can also be found in Saarland (Germany), Gaume (Belgium) and Lorraine (France).
There is a large variety of recipes for this dish. As it is a thick soup, some chefs thicken it with flour, others with fresh or sour cream. Undoubtedly, every household has its own taste of Bouneschlupp, but it is generally topped with sliced sausages and served with crusty bread.
