Brunkaal med Flæsk
Brunkaal med Flæsk is a traditional Danish recipe very popular in Scandinavia. It is prepared of cabbage browned along with bacon. The other main ingredients the dish is prepared of are vinegar, sugar, margarine, peppercorns and water. Usually bacon and cabbage are served on a plate together with mustard and rye bread. The flavour of this dish is wonderful, having smoky flavour mixed with aroma of cabbage. Due to bacon and sugar the cabbage has a darker colour than it should be. Both bacon and cabbage must be tender and finely spiced.
