Cơm gà rau thơm is a traditional Vietnamese dish representing mint chicken rice.

The rice is cooked in chicken stock with fresh root ginger and topped with fried and shredded chicken. The dish is then flavored with mint and other herbs.

Cơm gà rau thơm is characterized by a unique texture and taste which is enhanced by the fried mint which is used as garnish.

Cơm gà rau thơm is usually served with a special herb sauce on the side and traditional Vietnamese Nước chấm (mixed fish sauce), it also perfectly combining with Gỏi Huế rau muống.
