Corned Beef with Cabbage

Corned Beef with Cabbage is a traditional and very popular Irish dish. The main ingredients of the dish are beef and cabbage, but other vegetables are used for its preparation as well. Firstly the beef is boiled a little and then cooked in a Dutch oven. Bay leaves, cinnamon, peppercorns, mustard, ginger, cloves or other ingredients can be added to the beef to give it more flavor. When the meat is almost ready, cabbage and other vegetables like potatoes, onions and carrots are added. Then the beef is sliced and served hot with vegetables and some broth. The Corned Beef with Cabbage can also be served with some horseradish sauce or mustard.
