Dugh is an Afghan non-alcoholic yogurt salty drink, which has refreshing and delicious flavor. This popular Afghan drink is made with peeled and finely chopped cucumbers, dried or fresh chopped mint, fresh homemade yogurt, cold filtered water or milk. Dugh is mostly a summer beverage in Afghanistan, which is usually enjoyed at lunch time and is served in glasses with a several cubes of ice. It is also accompanied by rice or meat and is not served with dishes that contain yogurt. It is said that dugh induces drowsiness.
