Frango à Passarinho

Frango à Passarinho is a classic Brazilian dish that is literally translated as fried chicken. It is traditionally prepared from chicken wings, which are cut into three pieces. The chicken is usually marinated in a mixture of lemon juice, lemon zest, beer, salt and pepper, then is fried in hot oil. Some Brazilian chefs prepare Frango à Passarinho with garlic sauce (sliced garlic is fried with olive oil), others add parsley or chopped cilantro to embellish the dish and enhance the flavor. The dish is very delicious on its own or as an accompaniment.
