Golonka w piwie

Golonka w piwie (Knuckle in beer) is a traditional Polish dish and popular local main course, which can be found in many capital’s restaurants. Its main ingredient is pork knuckle, which is prepared in water with salt, pepper, sliced onion, grated garlic, bay leaves and other spices. Then beer sauce is poured over the dish and baked in hot oven until crispy perfection. Golonka w piwie is usually served with horseradish and mustard. This delicious dish may be also accompanied by roasted potatoes and fried cabbage.
