Guinness ice-cream is a very popular Irish dessert perfectly fitted for a Saint Patrick’s Day menu. The main ingredient for the Guinness ice-cream is of course Guinness beer, also molasses, egg yolks, sugar, vanilla extract, milk and heavy cream. The ingredients are mixed and simmered in a certain order and then cooled and put into the ice-cream maker. Of course there are other ingredients that can be added to the Guinness ice-cream. For example some add aged balsamic vinegar, lemon, pear or apple juice, chocolate, etc. Guinness ice-cream can also be served with different sweet sauces.
