Húsleves (meaning in Hungarian "meat soup") is a traditional and very popular Hungarian dish. It is actually a chicken soup, with vegetables and usually thin pasta.
Among its ingredients are chicken meat, potatoes and carrots, turnip, celery, onion, garlic, pasta and spices including the traditional Hungarian paprika.
The soup represents a very healthy and easy meal which can be served hot or warm.
There are variations of the soup where beef is used instead of chicken meat.
