Keropok lekor

Keropok lekor is a national Malaysian dish, originating from the Terengganu state. The dish contains fish meat (usually Ikan Kembong or Ikan Parang), Sago flour, Pandan leaves, water, ice cubes and salt. The ingredients are mixed and shaped manually into sausages which are boiled afterwards for several minutes. After boiling, the sausages may be divided in smaller parts and deep-fried. Another, more popular way to prepare Keropok Lekor is to cut it in very thin slices, let dry in the sun and serve as crackers with some chili or shrimp based sauce.
