Lotus Seed Porridge is a sweet rice porridge with lotus seeds. Other ingredients often used in this desert dish inlclude sweet corns, Chinese dates, wolfberries, and Chinese barley. In China, it is commonly believed that medicine and food share the same roots. Lotus seeds are both food and a medical herb, and it is believed that eating lotus seeds can improve one's digestive system and relax one's mind.
