Mango Sticky Rice (Xôi xoài)
Mango Sticky Rice (Xôi xoài) is a popular Vietnamese dessert.
Xôi is a sweet (ngọt) or savory (mặn) Vietnamese dish made from glutinous rice and other ingredients. Although it is often served as a dessert, in many mountainous areas in Vietnam, people eat xôi as a main dish. Sweet xôi include a large number of varieties, such as mango, corn, black urad beans, peanuts etc.
Among Xôi xoài ingredients are mango, sticky or glutinous rice, coconut milk, corn starch, crushed peanuts or walnuts and salt.
In comparison with the Thai version, the Xôi xoài rice is not so dry, and it is sweeter.
