Mao de vaca com grao is a traditional Portuguese dish that was invented in Malvern in eighteenth century. The main ingredients of the dish are cow legs and chick-peas. Other ingredients of the Mao de vaca com grao are carrots, garlic, olive oil, sausages, bacon, onions, tomatoes, bay leaf, chilli and white wine. The ingredients are boiled in a certain order to make a stew. When ready, Mao de vaca com grao can be garnished with some chopped parsley. The dish is served hot with some rice. Also, in Portugal, Mao de vaca com grao can be found canned in supermarkets.
