Medialunas are lovely sweet and flaky half moon pastries unique to Argentine cuisine. They are often compared to croissants, but medialunas are smaller in size. The preparation of the dough consists of mixing together warm milk, sugar, eggs, flour, dry yeast and salt. Ready for baking medialunas with butter sticks rolled inside are brushed with a mixture of eggs and milk and placed in oven to bake until golden in color. Cooked, buttery and aromatic medialunas are then brushed with sugar glaze (made from sugar and water) and are ready to serve.
