Menemen is a Turkish style omelet. The main ingredients are eggs, onions, tomatoes and green peppers (paprika), and spices such as ground black pepper, ground red pepper, salt, oregano, and mint. Black or green olives can be included as ingredients. Turkish sausages such as Sucuk or Pastırma can be added, although this strays from the traditional recipe. It is cooked with butter, although olive oil may also be used. The dish is very similar to the Shakshouka.

Cooked menemen is normally firm and juicy in texture.

In Turkish restaurants menemen is served in individual metal dishes. Menemec can be eaten in the morning with fresh bread or as an afternoon snack.
