Mie Ayam (bakmi ayam)

Mie Ayam is a traditional Indonesian dish, also known as bakmi ayam. It is spread all throughout Indonesia, especially in the Java regions. This comfort food may be found daily on the menu of different restaurants, where it tends to be served as a main course.

Mie ayam is made of egg noodles, chicken meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, white pepper, Yu Choy, rice wine vinegar, oil and mushrooms (an optional ingredient).

Mie Ayam is preferably served warm, topped with chopped chilies, tomato, or sliced spring onions.
