Nzuddi
From Mycitycuisine.org
Nzuddi are delicious Sicilian biscuits, that will remind you the taste of grandmother home cookies. The dough for these biscuits is made by combining the flour with eggs, butter, sugar, cinnamon, ammonium bicarbonate and liqueur. An almond usually garnishes the oval biscuit in the center. They are baked till they acquire an appetizing golden color and become crispy and crumbly.
There may be variations of how these biscuits are made. Nzuddi may be covered with a beaten egg and then baked or they may have many roasted almonds atop.
