Prosciutto with Melon
From Mycitycuisine.org
Prosciutto with Melon is a popular appetizer dish in Argentina. Prosciutto is an Italian word for ham. In English, the term prosciutto is almost always used for a dry-cured ham that is usually thinly sliced and served uncooked; this style is called prosciutto crudo in Italian and is distinguished from cooked ham, prosciutto cotto.
Quick preparation involves melon being skinned off and cut into wedges or cubes. Melon pieces are then being wrapped into thin slices of prosciutto and the dish is ready to serve. Prosciutto slices may also be served alongside melon instead of being used as a wrapping layer.
