Rooibus tea latte with honey.jpg

Rooibus Tea Latte is one of the famous tea variations in Taiwan and Taipei as well. The drink is quite easy to make as first strong tea is brewed, then milk is poured, ideally steamed milk. Sweetness is added also either with sugar, or more commonly vanilla syrup which also gives a special, pleasant flavoring to the tea. There are many brands of rooibus tea in Taiwan, the most popular being Jin Xuan tea, also known as Taiwan #12, which has light-green, oval-shaped leaves, which are just perfect for the latte variant. The dash of milk only emphasizes the aroma of the drink; additional flavor like cinnamon gives the tea a specially Taiwanese taste and smell.
