Shorbat bil Hoot is a traditional Libyan fish soup characterized by an amazing spicy flavor. Ingredients used for the preparation of this dish include sea fish, onion, tomato sauce, tomato purée, garlic, salt, ground turmeric, orzo pasta, flat – leaf parsley, coriander (cilantro) and olive oil or ghee. Red chili peppers and kammon hoot are used in order to enrich its taste and flavor. The diversity of ingredients makes this soup a unique culinary delight.
