From Mycitycuisine.org
Szilvásgombóc is a Hungarian traditional dish. It actually means potato dough stuffed with plums, boiled and after that rolled in breadcrumbs.
Among szilvásgombóc ingredients are potatoes, flour, sunflower oil, salt, plums, cinnamon, sugar and breadcrumbs. Szilvásgombóc is usually sprinkled with powdered sugar, it being consumed both, as a dessert or as a meal.
There are varieties of this dish where plums are replaced with apricots, these being called barackos gombóc.
Szilvásgombóc is a real tradition in many of the Hungarian families.
