There are a lot of variations of Viennese salad, but the ingridients of the traditional one are cooked cut tender potatoes, boiled frankfurters and onion rings. Anchovies and finely chopped gherkins are sprinkled over the salad just before serving. The dressing is classical and consists of white wine vinegar, olive oil and spices. Parsley and chives may also be added and the salad is served while the potatoes are still hot.
